Laudrup expects 'different' Valencia

Swansea boss Michael Laudrup expects Valencia to be a completely different proposition from their September meeting when the sides play at the Liberty Stadium tonight.

Swansea stunned the Spanish club and claimed one of the most famous wins in their history when they secured a 3-0 away victory.

However, Laudrup said: "When we played them at the Mestalla, it was under special circumstances. They had come off the back of three defeats in the league.

"They have lost a few in the last few weeks, but it will be different to the game there because they already qualified, they don't have to think about this competition before February so it changes things."

Wigan manager Owen Coyle fancies a shot at a European giant and has urged his team to earn a place in the knockout stages.

A home win over Belgians Zulte Waregem would secure qualification for Wigan, provided Maribor do not beat Rubin Kazan. Coyle said: "We want to stand toe-to-toe with some good players and good teams, we want to take that to the next stage."
