Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville involved in one of those vintage Twitter spats
Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville have served up one of those delightful Twitter spats that are among the most entertaining aspects of the troll infested social media platform.
Liverpool great Carragher and Manchester United legend Neville appear to relish a tweeting tussle played out before a huge audience and the Sky Sports duo were up to their old tricks again on Sunday.
After Carragher posted a new profile picture on his Twitter account, a Twitter user suggested the image had more than a striking resemblance to Neville’s former United team-mate Ryan Giggs.
That sparked an exchange between the duo that predictably ended with Neville highlighting his trophy success during his time with United, which inspired Carragher to claim his on-screen partner was owed all of his success at Old Trafford to his former manager Alex Ferguson.
He also offered up an image that Neville may be tempted to use for his Twitter profile picture, with these messages predictably gaining thousands of retweets:
Thanks for the help twitter but gone for a safe bet considering some of the options!!!! pic.twitter.com/N1qpyzVDox— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) July 16, 2017
@Carra23 why have you got giggsy as your profile pic?— Chris Williams (@bigdog1608) July 16, 2017
