The Italian Football Federation are awaiting further information regarding their Euro 2012 qualifier against Northern Ireland following the bomb blast in the province this morning.
The Azzurri are due to meet Nigel Worthington's men in Belfast on Friday and are currently training at Coverciano.
Today's blast in Londonderry, approximately 70 miles from Belfast, damaged several business properties including a bank and a hotel and restaurant complex, although no one was injured.
"The federation is asking for information and will let us know," said Italy coach Cesare Prandelli today.
"We heard the news but we are trying to understand what the situation is.
"We are calm, although we were calmer yesterday."
Italy are due to fly to Belfast on Thursday with head of security operations Roberto Massucci also among the travelling party.
