Shane Duffy has his say on cross-border row over player eligibility
Shane Duffy has opened up on the cross-border row between the FAI and the IFA over player eligibility.
And the Derry-born Republic of Ireland international feels that no one has the right to block players born in the North from playing for the
"At the end of the day it's down to the player who he wants to play for. If he has a choice of both countries he will decide where he wants to play," Duffy told The Herald.
"If the manager wants him or not, it's down to the player to declare himself. He might not get picked, he might not be good enough but at
the end of the day it's the player's call."
