Rodrigo and Paco Alcacer both bagged a brace as Spain strolled to a 4-0 win over Faroe Islands at Estadio El Molinon last night.

Sergio Ramos was substituted in the 84th minute to a standing ovation as he became tied with former team-mate Iker Casillas as the country's record-holder for appearance on 167.

He is now just nine behind the European record which belongs to Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

Jorginho dispatched a second-half spot-kick to cancel out Teemu Pukki's equaliser and give Italy a 2-1 win over Finland. Ciro Immobile had given Italy the lead before half-time. In the same group, Liechtenstein recorded a shock 1-1 draw away to Greece.

Meanwhile, on Saturday Harry Kane scored a hat-trick in England's 4-0 victory over Bulgaria as the Three Lions continued their 100 per cent start to Group A.

The Tottenham striker's first came from some sharp play from Raheem Sterling to take advantage of a mix-up in the Bulgarian defence and set up Kane for a smart finish. Sterling was also on target and his goal was sandwiched between the England captain's two other strikes, which came from the penalty spot.

Elsewhere, Portugal moved to second in Group B with a 4-2 win away to Serbia. William Carvalho and Goncalo Guedes had given the European champions a 2-0 lead before a Nikola Milenkovic strike in the 68th minute sparked hope of a comeback among the home fans.

France's clash with Albania got off to a rocky start when the Stade de France speakers blasted out Andorra's national anthem instead of the Albanian one.

After the announcer apologised to "Armenia" the correct national anthem was played and Les Bleus ensured no further mistakes were made with a 4-1 hammering. Kingsley Coman grabbed a brace with Oliver Giroud and debutant Nanitamo Ikone sealing the win.
