Derby midfielder Jeff Hendrick is the latest Ireland player to be hit with an injury ahead of Euro 2016.

Shane Long, Robbie Keane, Jon Walters, Kevin Doyle and Shay Given are all currently receiving treatment so the news today that Hendrick has a thigh tear will give Martin O'Neill more cause for concern.

Hendrick missed Derby's 2-1 defeat away to Cardiff City at the weekend and Rams boss Darren Wassall today confirmed that the midfielder will be out for the "next few games".

"We thought he had suffered a thigh strain on Friday but a scan has revealed a small tear," said Wassall.

"So, he will be missing for the next few games. We're in the hands of the medics. He's not going to be fit this week or next week but will be back before the end of the season."
