FAI confirm Sunday afternoon kick-off for Aviva friendly with England

Martin O'Neill's Ireland will face England on Sunday, June 7 at 1pm at the Aviva Stadium.

The friendly international, which follows on from Ireland's 1-1 draw with England in May 2013, will be the first time the side's have met since the infamous riots at Lansdowne Road in 1995.

The FAI has also confirmed that visiting fans will receive 3,000 tickets for the game.

The early kick-off was selected after advice was given by the gardaí.

Both sides have key Euro 2016 qualification fixtures the week after the friendly, with Ireland taking on Scotland at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday June 13th and England travelling to take on Slovenia the following day.
