Conor Hourihane and John Egan handed debuts as Ireland name experimental team to face Iceland

Aston Villa midfielder Conor Hourihane and Brentford defender John Egan will make their international debuts this evening against Iceland after being named in the Irish side by manager Martin O'Neill.

Egan will start at centre-back alongside Derby County defender Alex Pearce, while Hourihane will start in a midfield three alongside Burnley's Jeff Hendrick and captain Robbie Brady.

Meanwhile Colorado Rapids striker Kevin Doyle has earned a recall to the starting side with the 33-year-old spearheading an Irish attack that also features James McClean and Aiden McGeady.
