France manager Didier Deschamps has lost the services of two of his Premier League players for their Euro 2024 qualifier games against the Netherlands and Ireland.
The French squad assembled in Paris last night to prepare for the double-header, which includes a trip to Dublin next Monday, but defenders William Saliba (Arsenal) and Wesley Fofana (Chelsea) are out of the squad due to injury.
In their place, he has called up Monaco’s Axel Disasi, who made his senior debut at the World Cup finals last year, and the uncapped Jean-Clair Todibo (Nice).
France are training for the first time at their base outside Paris on Monday morning.
