SHAMROCK ROVERS will make the short trip to Inchicore to take on league leaders St Patrick's Athletic in the pick of the FAI Ford Cup quarter-finals.

Trevor Croly's men may need to win the cup to qualify for Europe next term due to their poor league performance and face the toughest challenge possible in the shape of his former employers.

Croly left his role as Saints assistant last winter and brought three players with him to Tallaght, but Liam Buckley's charges have responded impressively and piled the agony on the Hoops in a 4-0 win at Tallaght earlier this month.

Like the Saints, Dundalk still have double ambitions and they will travel to Tolka Park to meet Shelbourne.

Meanwhile, the prize for the winner of tonight's replay between Derry City and Bluebell United is a journey to take on league champions Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds.

Drogheda United meet Finn Harps, who beat Cobh Ramblers 4-0 at St Colman's Park last night.
