Grass has Sculli feeling green

Lazio's Giuseppe Sculli has been undergoing allergy tests this week after being rushed to hospital during last weekend's 2-0 home win over Palermo when he "swelled up and turned pink, like a prawn" as his coach Edy Reja put it.

Sculli, who scored both goals in the first half, appeared to suffer an allergic reaction to green paint used to colour the grass.

On Thursday, Man City's Mario Balotelli suffered a similar reaction during the defeat at Dynamo Kiev. Balotelli was given an antihistamine injection during half-time after his face swelled up, and was eventually taken off in some discomfort. City is known for the number of big egos in the dressing-room but at least this may explain Balotelli's big head.
