Gelsenkirchen to host Germany-Ireland clash
GERMANY will host their Euro 2016 qualifier against Ireland in Gelsenkirchen on October 14.
Gelsenkirchen does not hold fond memories for Irish fans as their Euro 88 adventure ended there courtesy of Wim Kieft's fortuitous winner for Holland.
Meanwhile, English football will mark the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster by delaying the kick off of top-level fixtures by seven minutes.
The majority of top-flight matches on April 11 will start at 3.07, a minute after the tragic meeting between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest was abandoned in 1989.
The FA Cup semi-final on April 12 between Wigan and Arsenal will kick off at 5.07, while the Hull City v Sheffield United game will begin at 4.07. Liverpool's home game with Manchester City on April 13 will kick off at 1.37.
