Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored plenty of brilliantly outrageous goals in his long career.

Who could forget his overhead kick vs England, his mazy dribble when a youngster at Ajax or his back-heel volley for Paris Saint-Germain?

Last night in Moldova he scored another goal that will be remembered for a while, but probably for the wrong reason.

Moldova had impressed in the first half of their Group G encounter, holding Sweden goalless.

Things took a turn for the worst at the beginning of the second period, however, when Moldovan goalkeeper Ilie Cebanu had the ball at his feet.

With Ibrahimovic slowly closing him down, Cebanu failed to get the required lift or power on his clearance and fired it straight at the big striker, who did brilliantly to divert the ball with his head back into the empty net.

Sweden went on to win 2-0, Ibrahimovic adding a late penalty, and now sit second in Group G, four points behind Austria.
