Ireland’s man-of-the-match Richard Keogh says he cannot wait for Monday’s return leg in the Euro 2016 play-off with Bosnia and believes the Irish fans will create a raucous atmosphere.

Martin O’Neill’s team will host Bosnia holding a narrow advantage after Robbie Brady’s crucial away goal in Zenica secured a 1-1 draw.

It could have been a famous win but for Edin Dzeko’s late equaliser but the Derby County centre-half praised his team-mates in a battling Irish performance.

"Yeah, listen it was important for us to get an away goal, it was a shame we couldn’t see the game out, but I thought every man tonight did their country proud<” he said.

"It was a great performance and we’re looking forward to Monday now; the Aviva is going got be rocking, the fans were amazing. I can’t wait to see the Aviva packed now and hopefully we can finish the job off.

"He’s (Dzeko)a good player and I thought me and Clarky done well against him, and the big giant (Milan Djurić )  who came on; he’s a handful. We defended really well, put our bodies on the line and headed everything, it’s just a shame we couldn’t see it out.”
