Sweden v England: Key moments

Seven minutes: Sweden goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson makes the first notable save to push aside Scott Parker's powerful drive.

11 minutes: Joe Hart is called into action but is not troubled by Sebastian Larsson's long range attempt.

15 minutes: Danny Welbeck gets into a good position but fails to make full contact on his header from James Milner's cross.

20 minutes: Hart gets his body behind a shot from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

23 minutes: Andy Carroll puts England ahead with a powerful header from Steven Gerrard's right-wing centre.

32 minutes: Hart is able to readjust and save Ibrahimovic's deflected drive.

36 minutes: Ashley Young's first touch lets him down and he drags his shot into the side-netting.

41 minutes: Hart reacts quickly to move off his line to save at the feet of Johan Elmander.

44 minutes: Sweden grateful to Olof Mellberg for a well-timed tackle to halt the run of Welbeck.

49 minutes: Mellberg brings Sweden level after Ibrahimovic's initial free-kick is blocked although his shot takes a deflection off Glen Johnson after being parried by Hart.

56 minutes: Johnson responds with a fine tackle to halt the run of Rasmus Elm behind the England defence.

58 minutes: Milner is booked for a challenge on Martin Olsson.

59 minutes: From the resulting free-kick by Larsson, Mellberg heads Sweden in front.

61 minutes: Milner is replaced by Theo Walcott.

64 minutes: Walcott makes it 2-2 with a shot from outside the box after a Gerrard corner is half cleared - his first England goal since the 2008 hat-trick in Croatia.

71 minutes: Jonas Olsson is booked for blocking a quickly taken free-kick.

76 minutes: Hart turns aside a powerful drive from Ibrahimovic.

77 minutes: Welbeck restores England's lead with a superb backheel from inside the six-yard area from a Walcott centre.

89 minutes: Welbeck leaves the pitch to great applause when replaced by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

90 minutes: Isaksson denied Gerrard at point blank range but England hold on and in the process eliminate Sweden.
