These were the scenes in Bordeaux today after England snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.

Security was forced to step in at the huge Fanzone on Bordeaux's Place de Quinconces between the rival supporters after beers were thrown between the groups and an English flag was stolen.

Our exclusive video shows how the tensions almost spilled over after England took a 2-1 lead through a Daniel Sturridge strike.

Welsh and English fans were filmed throwing beer at each other.

Later an English flag was snatched by a Welsh supporter and security was forced to step in as the final whistle was blown.

A large number of Welsh and English fans were in the city where Ireland play Belgium on Saturday.

Some Irish fans, who were in the area at the time, attempted to break up the scuffles.
