While Ireland fans, north and south, are to be honoured fore their impeccable behaviour in France during Euro 2016, surely Iceland will be given the same treatment.

It is estimated that over 10 per cent of the country were in France to support their team as they reached the quarter-finals, eventually falling on their sword to France.

The Icelandic 'War Chant' - a brilliant spectacle that unites players and fans - has made for beautiful viewing during Euro 2016 and following their quarter-final defeat to France, there was one final, boisterous send off for the Iceland players. both in France and back at home in Iceland.
