Given how passionately Irish fans follow the Boys in Green during the bad times, it is no surprise that the celebrations after one of the country's greatest ever wins should go on long into the night while disrupting as much traffic as possible.

Robbie Brady's headed winner against Italy booked Ireland's place in the Euro 2016 knockout stages and sparked wild and manic celebrations everywhere in the world where an Irish person was savouring the result.

The scenes at home were particularly special, with traffic on Dublin's busy Camden Street having to stop entirely due to throngs of Irish fans spilling out onto the street to celebrate.

There was a similar amount of fans just off Dame Street, as supporters partied in honour of Martin O'Neill's men.
