France striker Anthony Martial has not seen as much action at Euro 2016 as he might have wanted so far, but it doesn’t appear to have diluted his desire to make his mark in training ahead of quarter-final against Iceland this weekend.

Manchester United starlet Martial has played just 58 minutes of France’s opening four matches of the tournament, with his role as a super-sub in Didier Deschamps’ side unlikely to change head into the host nation’s next fixture.

With Antoine Griezmann hailed as the hero of France after his two goals against the Republic of Ireland last Sunday secure their place in the last eight of Euro 2016, Deschamps will hold Martial in reserve for the game in Paris this weekend.

Yet it was Martial who caught the eye in the latest France training session with an audacious overhead kick finish that drew applause from the watching supporters.

New United manager Jose Mourinho will not need to be told of the talents he has inherited with Martial at United, but he is a little glimpse of what the 20-year-old is capable of.
