Devlin targets survival

Play-off, Second Leg

Bray W v Monaghan utd

Carlisle Grounds (7.45)

Bray Wanderers rode their luck at Gortakeegan in Friday night's goalless first leg and will hope they can complete a mission impossible by beating Monaghan tonight.

Tonight's visitors have only won once in 15 attempts at the Carlisle Grounds and Mick Cooke will know his side should be taking a lead from the first leg. They didn't take their chances, and now must get an away win to complete their unlikely journey to the Premier Division.

Bray boss Pat Devlin is relishing the opportunity to keep his side up after they fought back from a seemingly hopeless position this season.

"At the start we were planning for the First Division," he said. "Then we end up in the Premier and now after a remarkable adventure, here we are playing for our lives in the final game of the season. We are happy to be in the position we are in having survived (in) Monaghan and now we are playing on our own pitch for Premier survival."

Karl Bermingham, Sean Brennan and Cathal O'Connor are all doubtful for the visitors. Adam Mitchell returns from suspension for Bray, while Brian Kane replaces Matt Gregg in goal after the 'keeper's red card in the first leg.

Dave Webster is still banned, while long-term absentees Derek Prendergast (ankle),Sean Houston (cruciate) and John Mulroy (hamstring) are all still out.
