Dee has Carlow flying high

Two cracking first-half goals from Bowie Dee and Tom Elmes gave IT Carlow victory in the Umbro CFAI final at Cork IT.

Carlow opened the scoring through a wonderful half-volley from Dee on 18 minutes. Elmes then doubled the lead 10 minutes later with a brilliant solo effort.

Near the end the Finglas college were given some hope when a Shane Keely free-kick was deflected to the net. Unfortunately for them, they could not find the equaliser.

O'Fiach College Dundalk took the Bob Eustace Cup at the expense of Inchicore College. Double strikes from Tom McShane and Paul Adeniyi plus a Gary Clarke header saw them lift the trophy.

Cork College of Commerce claimed the Umbro Plate with a Mark Cronin effort deciding their clash with Enniskillen's South West College. A Keith Conway strike was enough to earn IT Tralee the B Team Cup against Athlone IT.
