Dalglish's starring role in US Kop show won't be lost in translation

Liverpool's Kop stars have turned to the small screen in their bid to 'crack' America.

After Jamie Carragher and Co's appearance on 'American Idol' last week -- where they recorded a video message of support for a Liverpool-born contestant, Hollie Cavanagh -- Fox Soccer yesterday announced plans to broadcast a six-episode documentary series with behind-the-scenes access to the Anfield club.

'Our Liverpool: Never Walk Alone', will show rare footage from within the Anfield dressing-rooms, although given their results at home this season, it may have to be broadcast after the watershed. With Carragher and Kenny Dalglish among the cast, American viewers may also find some of the accents difficult to understand.

'American Idol' host Ryan Seacrest jokingly asked Hollie to translate what Carragher had said in the video message while Fox Sports chairman David Hill admitted some subtitles may be required for the documentary.

"We probably will have to do a tad of captioning for Kenny," Hill admitted.

Let's hope Dalglish's friendly demeanour isn't lost in translation.
