Coleman injury lift ahead of Merseyside derby
SEAMUS Coleman has a strong chance of figuring in next Tuesday's Merseyside derby after Everton said that the right-full sustained a minor hamstring problem in their draw with West Brom
There were fears that Coleman could face a prolonged spell on the sidelines after he pulled up in the final stages of Monday night's scoreless draw. However, a statement from Everton outlined that the Donegal man suffered a "minor soft tissue injury.
"He has been closely monitored by Blues medical staff since then and has already begun his recovery," continued the statement from the Toffees.
Coleman (right) is likely to sit out the weekend FA Cup clash with Stevenage with a view to being ready in time for the seismic encounter with Brendan Rodgers' charges.
But that will depend on how he responds in the coming days, and Roberto Martinez will be conscious of the dangers of rushing the 25-year-old back ahead of schedule.
