Celtic take on Linfield in a second round Champions League qualifier at Windsor Park in Belfast this evening, with supporters of the Scottish club given a small number of tickets behind one of the goals.

There were fears of possible crowd violence ahead of the clash, with Celtic turning down their ticket allocation last month, but they now they have a small section of fans in Windsor Park for this evening's game.

Celtic fans in Belfast for the clash with Linfield were delighted that they are now able to attend the game.

"They could have put us in a lot more danger," one Celtic fan told Independent.ie.

"I'm wearing a green top, I could have been sitting in the Linfield end with thousands of them. I'm going to follow my team everywhere. I've spent my whole life travelling back and forth to Glasgow and I'm not allowed see them two miles away from my own house. It's not fair."

When the game started, Linfield supporters started taunting Celtic fans with chants of 'you're British, and you know you are'.
