Alexis Sanchez continued his goal streak with a thundering first-half effort against Anderlecht tonight.

The Gunners were expected to make light work of the Belgian side and Mikel Arteta opened the scoring from the spot after 25 minutes.

Just four minutes later and the Chilean grabbed his 11th goal since his summer move from Barcelona.

His initial free-kick fell rebounded kindly in his path and the £35m signing made no mistake second time around, with his powerful volley flying past Silvio Proto in the Anderlecht net.
