Brendan Rodgers' Celtic reign got off to the worst possible start tonight after the Glasgow club were stunned 1-0 by Lincoln Red Imps in the first leg of their Champions League second round qualifier.

Ryan Casciaro struck just after half time to record a famous win for the Gibraltar team, whose XI included two policemen, a shipping agent and a customs officer.

While Celtic will still likely qualify for the next round with the second leg at Celtic Park still to come, the result will cause massive embarrassment for Rodgers in what was his first competitive game at the club.

BBC's Tom English shared a great bit of information after the final whistle which highlights just how big an upset tonight's result was.

According to English, one of the Lincoln Red Imps player's is a taxi driver and he only finished his shift a couple of hours before the game at 1pm.

Despite that, English also reported that Rodgers said he that tonight's result was not an embarrassment for Celtic.
