Bale and his fiancée Rhys-Jones have known each other since childhood, first meeting in Whitchurch High School in Cardiff. Rhys-Jones keeps a low public profile, only occasionally appearing on social media with her superstar partner.
The couple engaged in 2016, with their wedding expected to take place later this year. They have two other children, Alba Violet, aged five, and Nava Valentina, aged two.
The Welsh international will be looking for a starting place in Real's Champions League final meeting with Liverpool later this month, and the arrival of his third child will provide a welcome distraction.
The 28-year-old has struggled with injury and poor form this season, five years on from his record-breaking move from Tottenham Hotspur.
His spectacular strike in Madrid's ill-tempered draw at the Camp Nou on Sunday will act as a reminder of his ability, and put him right back in the frame for a regular starting spot in Zinedine Zidane's side.
The Spanish club are already out of the running in La Liga after rivals Barcelona clinched the title a week ago, and will be looking to win their third Champions League title in as many seasons as they face Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev later this month.
