McMillan reminds former suitors of talent
Rosenborg were aware of David McMillan's goalscoring threat before he broke the deadlock in Wednesday's Champions League tie at Oriel Park.
That's because they made enquiries about signing the Dundalk striker when uncertainty hung over his future last winter.
"To be honest, my experience of these things are you hear something and nothing ever happens," said McMillan after scoring his seventh Champions League goal in three years.
The 28-year-old sees hope for Dundalk after the 1-1 first-leg draw as that was the same situation they were in 12 months ago after their first meeting with FH.
McMillan added to his goal in that game by scoring twice in another draw in Iceland to enable Dundalk progress via the away-goals rule.
Dundalk will learn their potential third-round opponents today, with the third-round draw taking place in Switzerland.
If they do progress, they will have to play their home tie in Tallaght due to UEFA requirements - unless they happen to draw Celtic, which would almost certainly mean moving the match to the Aviva Stadium.
