Arsenal suffered a defeat in Dortmund last night but how did the Gunners' players rate?

WOJCIECH SZCZESNY: The quick reflexes of Arsenal's goalkeeper helped prevent a landslide defeat. 7

HECTOR BELLERIN: Arsenal's defending was inept, but full debutant Bellerin cannot be blamed. 5

PER MERTESACKER: Looked anything but a Germany veteran with over 100 caps. 4

LAURENT KOSCIELNY: Initially held Arsenal's back four together, but then he faded too. 5

KIERAN GIBBS: His wing came under heavy early pressure as Arsenal were overwhelmed. 5

MIKEL ARTETA: Offered little protection to the defence and made some glaring errors. 4

JACK WILSHERE: Failed to reproduce the heroics witnessed against Manchester City on Saturday. 5

AARON RAMSEY: Arsenal's only real creative spark. Showed his vision to set up Wilshere. 6

ALEXIS SANCHEZ: Carried the fight to Dortmund and never stopped running, but even he wilted. 7

MESUT OZIL: Another anonymous display from Arsenal's record signing. 4

DANNY WELBECK: Gives everything but must be judged on goals and he was guilty of missing chances again. 5
