Tim Nicot passes away after collapsing on pitch
Belgian player Tim Nicot has become the second player from the country in just two weeks to die from cardiac arrest during a match.
Nicot, who plays in the Belgian fourth tier, collapsed on Friday during a a tournament in Hemiksem and was placed in an induced coma but his club, Wilrijk-Beerschot, confirmed his death this morning.

Two weeks ago, Lokeren defender Gregory Mertens died three days after collapsing during a reserve match.
The 24-year-old lost consciousness in the first half of a meeting with Genk and was initially attended to by both the Lokeren and the Genk medical staff before he was transported to hospital where he dies three days later.
