DUBLINER Graham Burke scored twice from the penalty spot as Aston Villa were crowned NextGen Series champions after beating Chelsea 2-0 in an enthralling final in Lake Como.
The young Villans, who included five Irish underage internationals in their starting line-up, with another on the bench, were under pressure for large portions of the first half.
However, with Jack Grealish becoming ever more influential in midfield, Villa began to get a foothold and Burke went close to putting them ahead.
Villa started the second half as they finished the first and Burke cooly fired them ahead from the penalty spot on 49 minutes after a clumsy piece of defending from Alex Davey brought down Callum Robinson.
The former Belvedere player, who won his first U-21 cap against Portugal last week, stepped up again in added-time to slot his second penalty into the opposite corner.
