Brown leads Celts reserves
THEY could have done with it 24 hours earlier, but a Celtic side did find their scoring touch last night as Neil Lennon's reserves earned a pre-season friendly win over Drogheda United at United Park writes Neil Ahern.
As new signing Robbie Keane fluffed his lines against Kilmarnock the previous evening in his much-publicised debut for the Glasgow outfit, the Bhoys' reserves side recorded a comfortable win in a much more low-key affair.
The home side took a deserved lead after 37 minutes. Alan McNally found himself in the Celtic box and when the ball fell kindly to the towering centre-half's feet, he stroked home the opener.
Celtic equalised right on half-time when a corner was nodded into Jamie Forrest's path and he slammed it home.
Star man Scott Brown snatched a goal for himself three minutes after the interval and the game was over as a contest minutes later as Paul McGowan produced a neat finish.
