Brennan's late penalty breaks Drogheda hearts

Drogheda Utd 1-2 St Patrick's Athletic

A LATE penalty from Killian Brennan ensured that St Patrick's Athletic's recent good form continued with a win at Drogheda this afternoon.

The home side seemed to have rescued a point when Ryan Brennan scored in injury time to make it 1-1. Christy Fagan had earlier put St Pat's in front with just 10 minutes of the game remaining.

However, Brennan's penalty meant Drogheda were left frustrated - not helped by the fact that Declan O'Brien had missed  a penalty for the home side after 71 minutes.

In this afternoon's other game in the league, Limerick secured a 3-2 away win at Cork City.
