Big-hearted Cristiano Ronaldo donates €7m to help Nepal - reports
Big-hearted Cristiano Ronaldo has donated a massive €7m to the Nepal fund, according to reports in France.
French sports magazine So Foot has reported that the Real Madrid man made the donation to help Nepal following last week's devastating earthquake that killed over 7,000 people.
Last week, Ronaldo urged his 100 million followers on Facebook to do all they can to help the survivors in Nepal.
The Portugal captain has a long history of charitable acts. Last year he forked out for a young supporter in order to finance his brain treatment.
Young Erik Ortiz Cruz, a Real supporter, required the €60,000 procedure to remove a part of his brain, before a series of treatments that cost €6,000 each time. Little Erik's case came to Ronaldo's attention when he was asked to donate some boots for a charity auction, and the Galatico went one better and agreed to pay for all of the treatments.
The Portuguese star is on more than €18 million a year and in the region of €340,000 a week, so financial issues will never apply to the former Man United man but a classy touch nonetheless.
