Bet you should have done

IT'S often difficult to find value in games during which one team is an overwhelming favourite, as Ireland were against Andorra on Friday night.

Even those who felt Ireland might win both halves at 4/5 would have been fearful once the result of the Russian game against Slovakia became known.

However, given their pre-match protestations that they "weren't taking Andorra lightly", Ireland were likely to start fast and take their foot off once the job was done.

Kevin Doyle's goal after four minutes would have put a smile on anybody's face who had taken 3/1 on Ireland after 10 minutes and probably sustained them through what was a dull second half.
