Austrian boss Koller claims he would be content with a point from the Aviva
AUSTRIAN manager Marcel Koller will settle for a point against the Republic of Ireland in the Aviva tomorrow night.
The Austrians warmed up for tomorrow night’s clash with a thumping 6-0 win over the Faroe Islands on Friday night but Koller knows that they must improve for what will be a pivotal game in the race for the runners-up spot in Group C.
"Ireland are a different standard than the Faroe Islands. Every player must be aware that it will be harder," he told reporters.
"We were a little bit too loose at times and did not keep our organisation as I would have liked. And if we slack off against strong teams like the Irish, they will strike. If they see an opportunity, they will bite.
"We will pick a team so that we can win. We want to win. But if a draw looks likely, we will take a point."
Austria are currently ahead of Ireland in the Group C standings by virtue of their superior goal difference with either side capable of leapfrogging Sweden into second with a victory.
