Armstrong and Feeney sink Headford
Summerhill College reclaimed the Connacht title thanks to a comprehensive defeat of Presentation College Headford at the Showgrounds.
The Sligo school opened the scoring through Colm Feeney on 35 minutes when he found space inside a packed goalmouth to squeeze the ball home.
Gary Armstrong doubled the lead with a close-range finish from Feeney's cross just before the break.
Headford had an Aidan O'Sullivan goal ruled out for offside in the opening half, but scored early in the second thanks to Pauric Cunningham's tap-in.
However, Armstrong restored Summerhill's two-goal lead from the penalty spot after Feeney was fouled on 73 minutes.
Armstrong then set up Darren Kilcawley for the fourth eight minutes later, before O'Sullivan pulled one back for the Galway school in the final minutes of the game.
Jake Dykes, son of Sligo Rovers' 1994 FAI Cup-winning captain Gavin, lifted the trophy for Summerhill, just three days after captaining the Irish U-18 home-based side in Wales on Tuesday.
