The end of the transfer window is a time that excites some fans and fills others with dread.

Deadline day is particularly frantic as clubs attempt to get deals over the line before the window closes at 11pm.

Here, Press Association Sport looks at five potential headline-grabbers on Tuesday.

Jose Mourinho has indicated the former England international may leave Manchester United. Young has attracted plenty of interest in January and a move away should appeal to a player who has made only six Premier League appearances this season. Everton, Swansea, West Brom and former club Watford have all been linked with a move for the 31-year-old, who could even be tempted by a switch to the lucrative Chinese Super League.

The Serbia defender's nine-year stay at Chelsea is set to come to an end, with Zenit St Petersburg and Everton among the frontrunners for his signature. The 32-year-old, who scored his 34th Chelsea goal on his 377th appearance on Saturday, is out of contract at the end of the season and has not started a Premier League game since September. He has won every major club honour and is likely to be one of the most sought-after Premier League players on deadline day.

David Moyes' best bit of business would be keeping hold of 12-goal striker Jermain Defoe but the former England striker needs help if Sunderland are to avoid relegation. Moyes, who lost Patrick van Aanholt on Monday, is closing in on the double signing of Everton duo Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson, while the Black Cats have had an offer rejected for Leicester striker Leonardo Ulloa. Moyes has no choice but to throw caution to the wind with Sunderland bottom of the Premier League.

Marco Silva's side are only one point better off than Sunderland and the Portuguese has expressed his need for reinforcements. Key players Jake Livermore and Robert Snodgrass have departed for big money to leave Silva's squad looking increasingly threadbare. Hull are set to spend £3million on Watford midfielder Adlene Guedioura and Silva could make a move for Luka Milivojevic, who he worked with at Olympiacos. With the club's fans concerned about more outgoings, it should be an interesting day on Humberside.

The winger starred for the Republic of Ireland at Euro 2016 but he has failed to hit the same heights for Norwich in the Sky Bet Championship this season. Brady's form in the second tier has not deterred Burnley, who are expected to complete a £13million deal for the 25-year-old with Norwich on the verge of signing Ajax left-back Mitchell Dijks on loan. Brady's move could be the biggest deal of deadline day unless a top Premier League club pulls off a surprise late move.
