England rugby hero Jonny Wilkinson has been selecting the greatest non-English side to ever play at the Rugby World Cup and an Irishman is filling the outside centre position.

Brian O'Driscoll is widely regarded as the best centre of his generation and one of the best players Ireland have ever produced and Wilkinson seems to echo those sentiments.

Having scored seven tries in 17 games during four World Cup competitions, O'Driscoll is a popular choice despite the fact that he never made it past the quarter-final stage.

"The ability to change a game in a second, in a heartbeat, with his movement, with his skill, with his game-reading but also his leadership," he said.

"Having someone like that outside that you know if there's any trouble you can go to with the ball and you know that he will steady the ship.

"He's a good pick in my book."
