Tickets for Ireland's matches in the Rugby World Cup later this year will be "extremely limited" when they go on sale this week.

Tournament organisers today released details with tickets sold on a "first-come-first-served basis" with the first chance to get your hands on the prized assets on January 15 for unsuccessful ballot applicants.

This will be followed by general sale tickets on January 19.

"Tickets for the most popular matches, including the knockout stages and pool matches featuring host nation Japan, defending champions New Zealand, as well as Ireland and England remain extremely limited," read a press release.

"Fans are encouraged to utilise the availability indicator on the ticketing website to give themselves the best opportunity to secure remaining RWC 2019 tickets."
