There's a Game of Thrones actor supporting Ireland at the Olympic Stadium today

Everyone wants to be on the bandwagon. Joe Schmidt's Ireland side seem primed for a good run at the World Cup and more and more fans from other countries are starting to show support for the men in green.

Many English supporters adopted Ireland as their second team on Twitter in the aftermath of their side's World Cup exit last night, and now a Scottish actor from Game of Thrones is getting behind the squad.

Daniel Portman plays Podrick Payne on the hit show and seems to be enjoying himself at the Olympic Stadium.

The IRFU even offered Portman a catchy new Irish-styled name for his Game of Thrones character.
