DAVE KEARNEY: Chased and charged relentlessly – 8.

JONATHAN SEXTON: He was supremely confident until Picamoles ended his involvement - 8.  

CONOR MURRAY: Composed and claimed winning try - 9.

CIAN HEALY: Getting back to 100% - 8.

RORY BEST: Unbelievably competitive at the breakdown - 8.

MIKE ROSS: An anchor in the scrum - 8.

DEVIN TONER: Repaid Schmidt for his selection ahead of Henderson - 8.

PAUL O’CONNELL: He gave it everything until the injury - 8.

PETER O’MAHONY: An absolute scavenger in the loose until injured- 9.

SEAN O’BRIEN: Looked right back to his best – 9.

JAMIE HEASLIP: Carried the ball with real intensity - 8.

 

REPLACEMENTS:

IAN MADIGAN came on to strike the lead penalty and, generally, look unfazed – 8;

IAIN HENDERSON took over from O’Connell and took over the game - 9.
