There's no room for error - O'Sullivan
Eddie O'Sullivan has warned the Ireland women's team that there is no margin for error in what is a tricky World Cup pool, but he believes that there is enough quality in their squad to advance to at least the semi-final.
The former Ireland coach who is part of Eir Sport's broadcast team, is adamant that this evening's opener against Australia could well prove to be the most important game of their campaign.
O'Sullivan urged Ireland to learn from their mistakes from the Six Nations and hit the ground running.
"The Six Nations was a bit patchy for them," he said. "They got some victories but they had to work very hard for them. There was a bit of uncertainty around selection as well. Hopefully that has steadied but if all those things come together, they're in a good place.
"The only thing about the tournament is that it is very unforgiving. You don't have any wriggle room. To make the top four, particularly in Ireland's pool, they have got to win all three matches. That brings a huge amount of pressure to the team - knowing that there is no room for error of any description."
