Ireland's Tadhg Beirne has been awarded the Champions Cup Try of the Season.

Beirne who will bolster Munster’s pack next season, was nominated for European Player of the Year and has been selected for Ireland’s summer tour to Australia thanks to his exploits with the Scarlets this season.

The try came against Bath in the pool stages. The move began in their own 22, included 14 passes and was finished expertly by Beirne.

When he received the ball on the Bath 22 he still had a lot to do but he made Bath and England full-back Anthony Watson look like a prop with a sidestep beofer galloping over the line.

Beirne’s try was chosen for the prestigious award by over 3,000 voters and the adjudication of Ireland legend Brian O’Driscoll.
