An amateur rugby star has become an internet sensation after a clip of his stunning solo try went viral.

Alex Ducker ran the length of the field thanks to a clever chip and chase and evasive running that allowed him to fight off the attention of nine opponents before dotting down with an extravagant leap..

The 23-year-old's try for Redruth RFC in the 29-12 victory against Chinnor earlier this month, has now gone viral with 750,000 views.

The scaffolder told Cornall Live: "It has had a massive reaction that I did not expect.

"My coach put it up on facebok and it just went crazy.

"England rugby have it on all their pages and it has had 750k views so far.

"People saying it is the best try they have seen is amazing. It is great to get that kind of feedback and to be associated with a wonder try."
