The 2014 edition gets underway today and while Ireland won’t start their campaign until tomorrow, the stage is set for the Northern Hemisphere’s finest to battle it out.
The excitement has been building on these shores with Joe Schmidt’s first campaign in charge and coming off the back of an inspirational performance against the All Blacks, expectations are rising among supporters.
The RTE analysis is always compelling viewing, be it the controversial Hook, the informative Conor O'Shea, the new-kid-on-the-block Shane Horgan and the recent addition of the refreshingly honest Ronan O'Gara. And of course Tom McGurk the conductor of the orchestra.
RTE usually get their rugby promos and montages spot on and this effort was novel with Messrs McGurk, O’Shea, Horgan, Pope and O’Gara taken from their usual surroundings to show their anticipation ahead of competition kick-off.
And good to see the Irish Independent is seen as the newspaper of choice in the clip.
