Van den Heever pounces at the death to grab crucial bonus
Munster 'A' 30 Nottingham 15
An injury-time try from South African winger Gerhard van den Heever gave Munster a hugely important bonus-point win over Nottingham in Limerick.
Van den Heever, who had earlier scored a brilliant intercept try, collected Ronan O'Mahony's perfectly timed pass to score in the corner.
The home side had raced into an early 15-3 lead thanks to tries from Denis Hurley and Van den Heever as well as five points from the boot of Johnny Holland.
But former Connacht fly-half Matt Jarvis kept his side in touch with four first-half penalties to leave Nottingham trailing 15-12 at the break.
Jarvis levelled matters three minutes after the restart, but the game was then held up for 10 minutes as Nottingham's Tom Price was stretchered off.
The break in play disrupted both sides' momentum, but it was Munster who reacted stronger. All four of the hosts' tries came from fine back-line moves
Holland put his side back into the lead with a penalty on the hour mark before a late flurry saw Munster claim the bonus point.
With 10 minutes left on the clock, O'Mahony collected Holland's clever kick through to score his fifth try of the campaign. Holland added the extras.
O'Mahony was again instrumental in the bonus-point try as his pass allowed Van den Heever to seal an impressive win that keeps them in touch with Pool 4 leaders Plymouth Albion, who also picked up a bonus-point win last night.
