Ulster’s Ruan Pienaar 'to sign for Toulon'
Heineken Cup winners Toulon are said to be on the verge of signing Ulster star Ruan Pienaar.
According to a report in French paper, L'Equipe, the South African scrum-half has agreed to join the current holders of the Heineken Cup. However, neither Ulster Rugby nor Toulon have confirmed the deal so far.
South African World Cup winner Pienaar joined Ulster in 2010 from Sharks and has been one of the province’s biggest import success stories.
He has predominantly played at scrum-half for the province but can also cover at No.10.
In 2012 he was nominated as ERC European Player of the Year, losing out to Leinster star Rob Kearney.
