Ulster target Wilson return
NORTHAMPTON are trying to fight off interest in Ireland's Roger Wilson, with Ulster one of the clubs understood to be chasing the No 8's signature for next season, WRITES HUGH FARRELLY.
Wilson, who was capped against Japan in 2005, spent five years with Ulster before joining Saints.
And, with the IRFU's new Player Succession policy favouring experienced Irish-qualified players, the 30-year-old is an attractive acquisition for his old province.
However, Saints are said to be keen to hold on to one of their most consistent forwards.
Wilson is also said to have been contacted by Top 14 club Castres, who are keen to bring him to France when his contract expires at the end of the season.
