Ulster head coach Dan McFarland has handed another youngster his first senior start for today's match against Benetton.

James Hume will be wearing the 13 jersey in northern Italy, his two previous appearances for the side having come from the bench in the interpro defeats to Connacht and Munster earlier this season.

With Mike Lowry, who misses out this week a leg injury, having impressed of late, Hume will be the second of RBAI's three-time Schools' Cup winners to make the jump into the starting team at Kingspan Stadium less than 18 months after joining the academy system. The 20-year-old will have an experienced figure beside him in the midfield with Stuart McCloskey released from the Ireland squad to take part in the contest.

Rob Herring is another freed to play, but Ulster will be without Rory Best, Iain Henderson, Jacob Stockdale, John Cooney, Will Addison and Jordi Murphy.
